BOTD was conceived by Andy Skelton in March 2005 and opened to the public one month later. Soon it was graced by a new stylesheet and design work from Jefte Puente. Thanks to the feedback of many WordPress users who installed the BOTD Plugin, this site has become a popular gateway for blog readers around the world.
By collecting information from each participating blog and maintaining a small database of traffic statistics, BOTD is able to generate lists showing the most popular content among the participating blogs. The lists are updated several times each hour so they are always fresh.
