BLOOD TIES was filmed with no money by a crew of three in both the US and Thailand (with just a few moments over the border into Cambodia). Just to make things a bit more complicated, the BLOOD TIES movie was filmed in the mountains of Virginia, Washington D.C. on the Mall, The Port of Miami, and Atlanta. The crew numbers stayed at a maximum of three and the cast grew to 154. All post production including sound, special effects, editing, and even the musical score, were done by one person.

BLOOD TIES hit the festival circuit last year even before final post was done. At the Action on Film Festival, BLOOD TIES was nominated for "Best Action Sequences" and won the pretigious "Action Film of the Year". BLOOD TIES has also won "Best Director" and "Best Visual Effects", and at the Indie Fest USA Film Festival, BLOOD TIES walked away with the "Best of the Festival" Award.
