Music and Peace
BBB musicians don’t play music for peace only they also work hard for peace: All BBB musicians work as peacekeepers for United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK). One can call The Blue Bridge Band probably the only UN and OSCE band of the world.
BBB's name is derived from the famous, during the night blue illuminated bridge across the Ibar river in Mitrovica.
The band was founded in early summer 2003. The band performed in many concert halls, in clubs, churches and international parties. Highlights in the still young career of the band were, without any doubt successful concerts at several Rock, Jazz and Blues Festivals in South-East Europe with many international professionals and well known rock, jazz and blues musicians. BBB concerts are broadcasted on many TV and Radio Stations (B 92; TV MOST; TV MIR; Radio KISS, RTK 1 etc.). International Radio and TV Stations reported about the band (DW-World, ZDF and ARD).
The band started playing for recuperation and relaxing after a hazardous and stressful job in a band member's living room 3 years ago. This first phase was followed by requests from friends and international colleagues to share the music with them as well. In a third phase these friends urged BBB for concerts for the public and local citizens (the band members received meanwhile an official award for this goal). Invitations for Rock, Jazz and Blues Festivals followed soon.
BBB music is a journey through an extremely wide range of the music world. The BBB jazz fraction enjoys with its self composed delicacies and improvisations even the finest tastes of jazz gourmets. And when BBB starts on international parties beside its own compositions the further repertoire of around 60 Blues, Rock, Pop and Folk hits from all over the world, each party starts boiling. Some people say, even official international celebrations and receptions started to rock...
