Blueprint Nightclub first opened in December 2000, but there has been a club in some shape or form on the site since the second world war.
The venue certainly has the feel of a place with a few tales to tell. Over the years (in various guises) it has seen the inception and growth of many nights and events, including Nottingham's infamous DIY soundsystem, which began here on a Tuesday night in 1992.
Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers) played his first ever UK gig at the venue in the summer of 1995. Bands and DJ's including Asian Dub Foundation, Daddy G (Massive Attack) and Andy Smith (Portishead) have also graced the premises in recent years.
