- The owner is no stranger to the restaurant business or serving great food. It is a family trait that started with her grandfather, Bill Minor, who opened the first fast food type business in Chapel Hill called Bill’s BBQ. As a child, Bon folded chicken boxes and soaked everything her grandfather did in. Eventually, her mother, Mama Dip, continued the tradition and started her own restaurant. After 18 years as a housemother at the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at UNC-Chapel Hill, Bon felt that she was ready to become a staple in her own right!
