- History: The diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 1999 gave Sandra Reid the incentive she needed to realize her dream of working with horses and people in a therapeutic setting. Boots ‘n Breeches was founded in 2002 from a vision she had to help people with disabilities. First classes started in the fall of 2003 with two horses and four riders. Today, Boots ‘n Breeches has five horses and serves 18 riders with cognitive and physical disabilities.
