Boss Products was incorporated just several years ago in 2001. However, its roots date back over forty years to the invention of the Port-A-Pit® machine in 1967. Invented by Nelson Gongwer, (Troy’s grandfather) the Port-A-Pit® Bar-B-Que machine, combined with the secret sauce developed by Eva Gongwer, quickly became the foundation of a rapidly growing food service business (Nelson’s™.)
