s are a lot of dealers, I was a collector first. Several years ago, my father had a nice old Florida folding map and I would frequently unfold it when visiting. Soon there was visible damage on the folds so I made a deal with my father. I would have the map framed if he would agree to will it to me. He agreed, then I realized that it would, hopefully, be a long time before I got possession of the map so I'd better start getting some of my own.
I like to talk to folks about maps and prints and starting collections or simply having a beautiful and interesting piece to enhance a decor. It's gilding on the lily that the value of most maps and old prints increases every year."
