About Us
The Baton Rouge Bead Company grew out of owner Carolyn Haley's love of beads and beading. From the beginning, Carolyn has offered her customers a wide selection of beads, findings, supplies and books in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that welcomes novices and professionals alike.
One of Carolyn's dreams was to create a place to showcase the talents of gifted local bead and jewelry artists. Through her efforts and those of her staff, BRBC now hosts numerous classes and shows in which local beaders can learn from these talented beaders, metalworkers, ceramicists and glassworkers.
Through this web site, BRBC shares their ideas and work with the rest of the world. Many of the Idea Gallery projects are the creative efforts of BRBC staff and local artists. For that reason, you'll find handcrafted focal pieces and patterns on this site that you won't see anywhere else.
