Bradshaw Hall Fisheries is a commercial coarse-fishery with the aim of promoting the benefits of angling as a peaceful and relaxing sport. All eight lakes are of historical importance as they were originally formed as features of the medieval Manor of Bradshaw dating from the 12th century, and then later extended to serve Hardcastle's Textile Mill that ceased operation in 1963. The present day lakes have been improved and developed into a first class leisure facility.
