One of a kind, hand-cut wooden jigsaw puzzles
Description
My family and I live in the beautiful mountains located in the northern tip of the state of Idaho. From the windows of my mountaintop puzzles shop, I can see clear across the entire state of Idaho. The backside of my shop faces east and is situated close to the Montana border. From the front of our home/shop our view extends all the way to the state of Washington and up to the Canadian border. Some our visitors have compared their stay with us to times they’ve spent in Yosemite or Yellowstone National Parks. Where I live says a lot about me.
Another unique feature of my home and shop is that we run it entirely “off grid.” I might be the only wooden jigsaw maker in the world that crafts their puzzles from energy produced from the sun. Our state of the art, alternative energy system gets its power from the 16 100 watt solar panels right outside the shops doors.
Living in such a remote area has it’s disadvantages also. My drive way is 2 ½ miles long and keeping it cleared of snow in the winter takes up a considerable amount of my time. After the road is plowed, horses, goats dogs and cats are fed, all three of our wood stoves are stoked and providing us heat, I settle into my shop for a day of puzzle making. How I live says a lot about me.
