Born in Ashton-U-Lyne in 1961, Brian had a keen interest in drawing and painting, it became apparent from a very early age that he was naturally skilled. During his school years his main interest was always in the art room, it was the subject he enjoyed most and he had great enthusiasm for.
Upon leaving school Brian continued to draw and paint studying art at Tameside College of Art and Technology, his career started in commercial art in the sign industry working in the drawing office, after some ten years due to redundancy his career took a change of direction and he worked for a number of years as a sales executive for various companies.
His artistic talents succumbed and for a period Brian’s art became secondary to the practicalities of family life, the need to paint returned and his artistic career started again. Initially painting a couple of pictures and as these sold it gave him the confidence to exhibit in local and national exhibitions as his reputation grew so did his achievements.
