Jane Wilson-Marquis was born and raised in England. There she studied dance, taught actors how to move and choreographed many mixed media theatre pieces. She began her career as a clothing designer in London, crossing the Atlantic over 20 years ago.
Together with a partner, Jane, started a clothing company in New York City which successfully wholesaled a hand-beaded evening line. During these years Jane honed her craft, adding to her understanding of what is important to her customers. Slowly yesterday’s “evening black” evolved into today’s “wedding white” as Jane built the company which now retails her exclusive designs.
Designing the perfect dress is still Jane;’s greatest pleasure. When not designing she splits her time between NYC and her house and garden in the country. Being close to nature and gardening is a big part of her life. After having married several times and raising two children, she now lives with the perfect companions, her two macaws….
