BringTIM.com is a fun meeting cost calculator and time management tool

BringTIM! for a better meeting

Bean counters, by-the-books bosses and lovers of “The Office” can all get a bit more out of the mandatory office meeting thanks to BringTIM! Designed by a cubicle-dweller subjected to mandatory four-hour, Monday morning meetings, BringTIM! is a meeting cost calculator, time management tool and fun conversation piece rolled into one nicely designed package.

BringTIM! is a clock that does more than keep time. It’s also a calculator that tallies the dollars spent in long meetings. Just enter the number of people in the meeting, take a guess at an average hourly wage for the group, and BringTIM! will tell you how much your meeting cost.

A cost calculator for better time management

Inventor Brad Johnson is a veteran of many a meeting, “some good and some not so good,” he recalls. In particular, he remembers the half-day, Monday morning meetings he had to attend. Those meetings were a study in poor time management. “We didn’t get enough work done to justify the time spent in the meeting,” he says.

That’s when he decided to create a time management and cost calculator device that would inspire meeting holders to get to the point, but in a friendly way. Although humor is a big selling point, creating the actual product was a serious endeavor, Johnson says. slide1 meeting cost calculator clock.jpg

He enlisted a number of consultants to help him design the product, which is sleek and easy to use. The time management and cost calculator product did require a lot of attention and resources from the inventor, though presumably not one meeting more than necessary.

BringTIM!, Johnson stresses, isn’t some corporate attempt to bring a new cost calculator to market. It’s a time management tool created by an ordinary guy yearning to free himself from the shackles of the unending meeting.

A fun, yet practical time management device

Johnson hopes his meeting cost calculator is a fun addition to the office and a practical time management tool. He’s expecting to sell it both to managers who want an idea of what a meeting costs and to employees who want to bring a bit of “The Office”-inspired humor to their own cubicles.

Priced at $24.99, BringTIM! is the time management product you can’t afford not to buy, Johnson says. He expects to have the product in his warehouse next month. Interested time management junkies can go to the web site and sign up to be notified when the product arrives.

Plus, buyers will do more than just make their own meeting experiences less interminable. They'll be striking a blow for the little guy in the corner cubicle who just wants to express himself. Just like an episode of “The Office.”
