Britannia Pharmaceuticals Limited, located in the South of England, is a niche pharmaceutical company specialising in products for diseases with orphan indications (small patient populations) which are normally not developed by larger pharmaceutical companies. It is our primary focus to search for and develop pharmaceutical products for special patient groups, expanding our know-how in the disease areas our products serve, and to make these products available internationally.
The company has built its success and ability to develop active compounds into fully licensed pharmaceutical preparations, with particular expertise in clinical trials, formulation work, registration, marketing and sales.
Our primary expertise is in the development of products for the areas of Parkinson's disease and opiate detoxification. We have been active with UK neurologists and geriatricians since 1981, starting with the marketing and development of the product Eldepryl (selegiline hydrochloride). These relationships helped us to identify the benefit of and need for apomorphine as a rescue treatment for Parkinson's disease sufferers, leading to the development of our APO-go products.
