Title edit
British Butterflies - A Photographic Guide by Steven Cheshire
Description edit
Currently, I use a range of photographic kit to take the photographs which feature on this website. My main camera is my Nikon D70 digital SLR usually fitted with a 300mm lens. Occasionally, I use the TC20E 2x teleconverter which in conjunction with the 300mm lens gives me a full 600mm which is ideal for bird photography.
For close-up shots, I use my 60mm macro lens on my D70 (often with a 2x 52mm Nikon 5T Close-up lens attachment for even closer shots) but occasionally revert to using my Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera which is particularly useful in butterfly photography due to its swivel lens design.
For files storage, I have a 4gb Hitachi/IBM Microdrive and a 2.2GB Magicstor Compact Flash card plus a variety of other CF cards of smaller capacities. I also back my files up in the field using an Apple iPod Video which has 30Gb of storage available.
