About Keith Harvey
Keith Harvey is an international business consultant who divides his time between Dallas, Paris and Germany. Vogel Flies South, the first in a series of Dutch Vogel novels, is his first published book. The inspiration for many of the characters in this and subsequent Vogel novels comes from Harvey's own family and the stories of their experiences in Europe and in the United States Army, which he learned about through the ritual story telling of his father, grandfather and uncles. Told in the great oral tradition of the South with lots of drama, suspense and exaggeration, it is these stories that sparked a love of literature in Harvey and which inspired him to become a writer. Sad, funny and enduring, these stories were full of vivid detail that empowered listeners to imagine they were a part of the events described. This great story telling talent is apparent in Harvey's own works.
