Description

Excerpted from the website:

PV solar electric systems are being installed on homes and business all across the United States. Today the size of the PV system is customarily determined by the actual electrical demand or usage of the building owner. The system is designed "correctly" when the PV system generates the same value of electricity as is used for a period of one-year. The end result, as you might have guessed is a zero electric bill for the year. If you use more electricity than you generate, you pay your utility for the extra amount. If you generate more electricity than you use in one years time, you get no credit from your utility for that excess electricity. This "design it just big enough" approach is known as zero net metering. This "just big enough" design is also expensive and the pay back is a lot longer than most are willing to accept.
