- Brooke Credit was founded in 1988 and is a subsidiary of Brooke Corporation, which trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol BXXX. The company primarily funds its loans by selling participation interests in individual loans or investments in pools of loans to commercial banks and finance companies. In 2003, Brooke Credit worked with Standard and Poor's Rating Services to create a new securitization asset class for insurance agency loans. Brooke Credit subsequently structured and sold five securitizations resulting in the issuance of $135,350,000 in asset-backed securities. In 2004, Brooke Credit secured a $50,000,000 lending facility from a large German Bank, which was subsequently increased to $80,000,000 in 2005.
