Introduction: We are Zane Mirfin and Peter Carty. We are full time NZ professional fishing guides. Our guiding operations are strategically located in the heartland of New Zealand's best brown trout fishing. Our bases are situated at Murchison (Peter) and St. Arnaud (Zane). We have been guiding visiting anglers around the Northern South Island since 1980 and welcome the opportunity to describe our services to you.
We are available for group trips and are interchangeable on the waters available from our respective bases, specialising in "tailor-made" adventure fishing trips using existing accommodation venues or ones of your own choice. Our angling season runs from the beginning of October through the end of April and there is always excellent fishing available despite variable weather, water or season.
"Graeme Marshall has decided to take a break from fishing guiding and move onto new adventures. Graeme and Raewyn have moved to the West Coast and purchased a business there. Peter and Zane wish them all the best and thank them for all the great times we had together. No doubt, we'll have some fun duck-shooting together down the Coast in years to come."
