Title

Broxtowe Conservatives

Description

Broxtowe lies to the west of the city of Nottingham bounded to the south by the River Trent and in the west by the Derbyshire border. Broxtowe District Council was formed on 1 April, 1974, following the amalgamation of the former Beeston and Stapleford Urban District council along with parts of the Basford and Eastwood District Councils. It became a Borough in 1977 and now includes the towns of Beeston, Stapleford, Kimberley and Eastwood.

The Council was Conservative controlled until 1995. In the 2003 council election Conservatives polled the largest number of votes and won 14 seats on the council. We remain in opposition following the formation of the Labour/Liberal Coalition. Conservatives represent three Nottinghamshire County Council divisions in Broxtowe. The County Council is Labour controlled, with the Conservatives providing vigorous opposition to one of the highest county council taxing authorities in England.

Broxtowe Conservatives are campaigning hard for a fair deal for everyone across Broxtowe, paying close attention to the views and concerns of local residents to ensure that your voice is heard.
