- Sara Wear started as a small, custom made clothing company. Owner and designer Sara Deutsch was attending Colorado State University and began making her own clothes in 2000. It all started with a patchwork tank top sewn completely by hand. After that, Sara bought a sewing machine and made tank tops for classmates. The Sara Wear line gained popularity and branched out to produce skirts, pants, and dresses. After graduation, Sara spent a summer traveling the country and selling the unique products.
