At home on your computer, you will be able to use the web site to monitor your energy intake and output and provide a simple personalized means to plan your food intake. Your individual file on the web site will store your personal burn rate information for future reference to plan lifelong weight control. Individualizing food intake is made simple by consulting with a dietitian on-line to develop meal plans using your food preferences to suit your personal burn rate requirements. For those wanting to do it themselves, computerized meal planning enables detailed planning of each meal by substrate to match your burn rate. This system for daily energy management enables the person to track their weight loss based on energy use instead of relying on inaccurate scale weights.
Program support is available on-line through the Support Network that features nutritional and psychological assistance via direct email to health professionals, on-line consultations, monthly newsletters and articles, and an active Bulletin Board.
