Description
The Bush 'n' Bike Adventure Company is a professionally run family business owned and operated by Cheryl and Jorvar Jensen from their 155 acre farm where they have lived since 1997 with their two daughters Holly and Helena. The farm is also home to around 50 head of beef cattle and calves, the horses and ponies, Ruby the border collie dog who works with the cattle, and assorted chickens and ducks.
We are located just north of Kawakawa, the gateway to the stunning Bay of Islands, in the winterless northern part of New Zealand (see MAP). The farm is nestled in the lush green secluded Tirohanga river valley. The Maori meaning of Tirohanga is “to view” or “to gaze” and this valley really lives up to its name! It is rural New Zealand nature at its best with a breathtaking view at every turn and a host of wildlife including blue heron, native pigeon, rosellas, kingfishers, goldfinches, tuis and fantails.
Prior to starting the Quad Bike & Horseback Adventures, Jorvar was in business in mechanics and hydraulic engineering for many years and has a vast working knowledge of the servicing and maintenance of all types of farm machinery, including quad bikes. He is also a NZQA trained quad bike guide.
