BusinessInPortland is a web site designed to help you access the business-related information and services available from Portland area public agencies. It is organized by categories and topics business owners are familiar with and in a way business owners want to look for information. That way, you don't have to know ahead of time which agency or governmental sub-division provides the service you want. We hope this speeds up the process of finding and accessing the information you want.
This site is really a simple gateway to the various information and services already on-line at different government agencies' web sites. As we designed BusinessInPortland, we didn't create new forms, databases or program descriptions; we just link you to the web sites with the information you want.
We hope to grow. As BIP continues to become more integrated into the business practices of the private sector, we expect to see an increase in the availability of on-line information, services, forms and databases. As that happens, we hope to expand the scope and functionality of BusinessInPortland as the demand and satisfaction of e-government for business rises.
