Buzzard Run was a community in the shadow of Buzzard Knob Mountain in northern Alexander County of North Carolina. Buzzard Run School was a one-roomed schoolhouse for grades one through eight. The school was closed in the 1940's when the county merged the school systems; since that time the name has all but disappeared and the memories are fading.
