Welcome to the Calbayog Sanitarium and Hospital. We're glad that you are here. We're a family hospital that caters to patients regardless of race, creed and socio-economic status.
We're located in the middle of the Philippines [map] on the island of Samar.Calbayog is the fifth largest city in the Philippines. The hospital was started back in 1973 by Dr. Orville Varona.
Back then Dr. Varona's missionary efforts included only a small boat that he used visiting the various surrounding islands providing care for the needy population. A small clinic was then established, the Calbayog Clinic, near the center of town near City Hall.
