Since 1952, the State of California has continually had in effect a Marketing Order for California dried plums which directs many of the activities associated with our products. The California Dried Plum Board represents 1250 dried plum growers and 22 dried plum packers under the authority of the Secretary of Food and Agriculture to direct and manage activities in four areas of effort:
The mission of the California Dried Plum Board is to expand the worldwide demand for California dried plums. This will be facilitated by:
Coordinating an international marketing program that may consist of both generic and branded activities including advertising, sales promotion and public relations.
