Description
Camp Galil, founded in 1946, is owned and operated by Mid-States Habonim Camping Association - a non-profit educational corporation. The camp is set in the beautiful fields and forests of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, less than an hour from Philadelphia, and less than two hours from New York City. Galil has received accreditation for both its program and facility from the American Camping Association.
Camp Galil is more than the average summer camp. Camp Galil has sports, swimming, activities, songs, arts and crafts, campfires, and special days just like any other summer camp, but there is an undefinable element of fun in everything that happens during the summer. Of the many reasons why Galil is not just any summer camp, why our campers keep coming back summer after summer, this is the most important: Camp Galil is a summer packed with fun any child can enjoy.
Our program emphasizes sharing and social responsibility along with individual growth and development. Each age group receives its own tailored summer program specific to that educational level. Modeled after an Israeli kibbutz, Camp Galil life fosters a sense of community that is cherished long after childhood is over.
