Cannon Insurance Agency was founded as an in-home business by Elzie D. Speir Jr. in 1983. He sold insurance products from a small office in his Riverdale home until growth dictated that he move the business. In 1984, Cannon Insurance moved into AllenPlaza with Elzie’s son Steve rounding out the two man operation. The agency has stayed in that same building to this day expanding twice to accommodate growth.
