In the busiest months of the year, from April to October, the circulation on the island of non-residents' cars, motorbikes, and scooters is not permitted. Exceptions are made for vehicles bearing foreign number plates and driven by the owner. Vehicles can be parked in one of the many car parks or garages located in the vicinity of the ports of Naples (the largest and most economic being the Parcheggio Brin) and Sorrento. A great deal of the island of Capri is pedestrianized.
