Car Guy Garage, Inc. was started in 2006 by two brothers, Timothy David Frey and James William Frey. Car Guy Garage, Inc. is an ecommerce company selling home improvement products for the garage such as cabinets, workbenches, storage, and flooring. The company prides itself on excellent customer service backed with a large selection of garage products on an easy to use web site.
The company's business plan was drawn from the brother's combining talents and was ironically dreamed up by the brothers in Chicago garage. Tim had a passion for hot rods; he had built many cars starting before he was old enough to drive, continuing through his formal training at Wyo Tech, and had pursued a career in the automotive industry working with dealerships and automotive suppliers. Jim had a passion for computers; he had been programming computers since grammar school, received a degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, and pursued a successful career incorporating technical solutions to businesses. The combination of the brothers' talents was a natural fit for an ecommerce company concentrating on products for garages.
The company logo closely resembles the 1954 Plymouth that Tim was working on while the brothers brainstormed the business plan.
