Cartex Ltd (Formerly Cartridge Express) began by chance over 10 years ago, back in 1993. The founder and current owner Mr Stuart Hall stumbled across a company selling bottles of inkjet ink whilst on holiday in Florida, USA. The chance discovery that inkjet cartridges could be refilled for a fraction of the original price led to several months of experimentation to produce one of the first companies to offer a comprehensive inkjet cartridge refill kit in the United Kingdom.
Over the next 10 years the business grew rapidly to become a leading UK manufacturer of inkjet refill kits, compatible inkjet and laser toner cartridges. As a major manufacturer and with the advent of the World Wide Web, ( We had a full e-commerce web site as early as 1996!) we were able to provide our products direct to end users at extremely competitive prices. Our goal today is as it was 10 years ago: To provide the highest quality compatible inkjet and printer cartridges at the lowest possible prices.
Cartridge Express was incorporated as Cartex Ltd in December 1999 and a new e-commerce site www.cartex.co.uk was launched in early 2000. With over 300,000 customers in the UK, Europe and the rest of the World, cartex.co.uk continue to deliver quality and affordability.
