CCAH fosters a vibrant mid-valley community, in which all forms of the arts and humanities flourish, by encouraging, funding, and supporting multicultural artistic expression.
In addition to being a presenter of the performing and visual arts, CCAH also grants monies for: Scholarships, Arts-in-the-Schools and Grants. This provides financial and artistic support to many local non-profit organizations ie: Symphony in the Valley, Carbondale Clay Center, Redstone Art Foundation, all of our schools, Dandelion Day, the Solar Potluck, Rhythm of the Heart, Bookcliffs Council on the Arts and Humanities, Thunder River Theatre Company and The Stepstone Center.
CCAH has received state wide attention including the prestigious Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts honoring our 28 year history of aiding, presenting and promoting the arts and artists in our community. CCAH has granted over $185,000 in community funding and presented over 120 free Performances in the Park, as well as presenting over 75 coffeehouse-type shows, 24 Valley Visual Art Shows, 95 Thunder River Theatre Company performances and 32 Mountain Fairs.
