Carmel Valley Ranch Hunter Jumpers San Diego

Located in San Diego, California, just 2 miles east of coastal Del Mar, Carmel Valley Ranch sits nestled in eucalyptus trees high upon a bluff. With cool ocean breezes and a view, the ambiance remains pleasant throughout the seasons.
The ranch has been family owned and operated for 35 years. During those years, the area evolved from grazing range supporting herefords to a setting of spacious homes and scenic open space. The main ranch house dates from 1887 and the surroundings are rustic.
Horse owners since childhood, Dr. and Mrs. Brumfield became heavily involved with hunters and jumpers in the mid 60's. Dr. Brumfield trained Bommala Bobby, and both he and Mrs. Brumfield rode in the hunter and jumper classes throughout the Pacific Coast. Many champions have been bred and trained at the ranch since that time. Currently they continue to breed and train their own horses and can be visited at the ranch.
