Description
Lake Cherokee is a private lake located approximately 7 miles off of U.S. Scenic Highway 11, a few miles Northeast of Walhalla, West of Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee, and south of Cashiers, NC. The Chattooga River is also not far away.
While staying in our home, you will have guest privileges to the lake, which include swimming, fishing, or boating (on one of our non-motorized boats). The Blue Ridge Mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to the Northern half of the lake. There are very nice mountain views from the lake and from the house.
The water temperature is very pleasant, as our altitude is just over 1000 feet. Our area is located precisely at the edge where the foothills end and the mountains begin. Just a few miles from the house, elevations jump to well over 2000', and then quickly move to over 3000'.
