Carousel Corner Preschool and Childcare Center was established in 1982 and is privately owned and operated. The building was designed for childcare and is in a permanent building with eight classrooms and kitchen. Set in a semi-rural area on the edge of Port Orchard, WA. we are located near North Star, Madrona Heights, Orchard Heights and Manchester Elementary schools, to name a few of the area schools. The preschool is open Monday to Friday from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm for 50 weeks a year. The playgroup is registered to take 25 children at each session. Currently 150 children are enrolled between the ages of two-and-a-half and eight years. None of the children are identified as having special educational needs or for whom English is a second language. We have 15 staff members working in the preschool, all having childcare qualifications and work directly with the children. Three staff members are new since the last inspection.
