We have worked in the district for a number of years and have just become the proud owners of Carrickfergus. We are currently working with our web developers to prepare text and photos for inclusion within this page of introduction.
Our farmstay was named after Carrickfergus, a town standing on Belfast Lough approximately 11 miles from the city of Belfast, Ireland. The name translates as the "Rock of Fergus" and is said to refer to Fergus MacEre a local chieftain who, according to legend went on to become the King of Scotland.
