The year is 1973. The United States, just now starting to feel comfortable with its independence from the loathsome British, had a new tyrant in its midst. Unlike the redcoats, however, this foe was to be more subtle and insidious than any world power before it. They did not come from another land - no, these men came from inside our very own walls. Eventually, they would control 98% of all the worlds wealth and 73% of its governments, yet even now very few know of its existence.
After successfully gaining control of the New York Stock Exchange, the organization decided to enter a New Era of global domination and control. It is at this point they began using the code name by which they would forever be known: The Inner Power.
Though a series of undocumented military operations in the Middle East and a whirlwind flurry of backdoor negotiations, the Inner Power began work on a satellite-based mind-control technology by which they could finally ensure that their reign of terror would last indefinitely.
