Casa Myrna Vazquez is a Boston-based, multicultural organization dedicated to ending domestic violence in the lives of women and children through advocacy, prevention and intervention programs.

What began in 1977 as a single shelter accommodating eight families has grown into New England’s largest provider of comprehensive services to abused women and their children, with two emergency shelters, three transitional living houses, and a range of services including legal services, children’s services, advocacy, mental health counseling, and educational outreach. Casa Myrna Vazquez operates SafeLink, a statewide 24-hour, toll-free, domestic violence hotline which provides emergency information and assistance to callers, and a Guest Resource Center which receives and distributes in-kind donations for residents of our five shelters. Guided by a vision to build a world free of domestic violence in which families and communities are healthy and safe, the work of Casa Myrna Vazquez seeks to help women and children affected by domestic violence build healthy, hopeful futures free of abuse.
