Description
I love the way it feels when a piece starts to come together - when the colors, shapes, and textures of the materials work. I hear a voice inside that says, "Ah, this is right."
As an artist, I'm constantly growing. I mine new styles and techniques from teachers whose work I admire. Then I create ways to incorporate what I've learned into my work. I find joy in bringing the beauty and simple satisfaction of jewelry into the world.
I make many of my own components in my studio in Alameda - a small island in the San Francisco Bay. I use both sterling silver sheet and Precious Metal Clay. PMC looks and works like clay, but when fired in a kiln becomes pure, .999 fine silver.
