SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition - is responsible for the accomplishment of operating plans controlling the industrial process (usually a complex distributed composition) as a whole. The operation layer consists of visualization and supervisory control systems whose main task is process management. It is usually an intermediate layer between Process control and Business layers.
