Sustainability

Sustainability, defined in 1987 by the Brundtland Commission, as development that "meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Wikipedia.org has a great page on Sustainability.

Most folks working in the sustainability field agree that it is not well defined. Feel free to edit this page to add your thoughts on what sustainability means.

Sustainability in Business

Businesses concerned with sustainability often refer to the Triple Bottom Line of Financial Capital, Human Capital and Natural Capital. This is also referred to as People, Planet & Profit.
