History
In 1989, a group of senior professionals at the Atkinson Morley's Hospital set up the Child Brain Injury Trust in order to provide more knowledge regarding the effects of injury on the developing brain.
CBIT Mission Statement
The Child Brain Injury Trust (Cbit) supports children, young people and families affected by an acquired brain injury to enable them to achieve their potential.
Acquired brain injury in children
Every year and estimated 20,000 children and young people in the UK will acquire a brain injury (ABI). Through our research we know that the impact on the family is enormous and lifelong.
