The Cedar Store was established in 1992, by Tim McTighe. Tim knew that his superior line of outdoor furniture, hand-crafted from Western Red Cedar, was in high demand, but short supply. Opening his business in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, he wanted to bring the ultimate outdoor living experience to Western Pennsylvania. Cedarstore is now the leading supplier of outdoor furniture and gazebos in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.
From the beginning, it was obvious that this was a winning venture, as people soon began clamoring, not only for more of the furniture, but for more than furniture. Soon, our expert craftsmen were making gazebos, sheds, arbors, trellises, picnic tables, and more.
With the advent of the Internet came the opportunity to find out if other regions were as hungry for quality as the locals had been. That question was answered in 1999, when CedarStore.com was launched, and the whole world took a bite. Now, we enjoy global popularity, while people of many nations enjoy our products.
