The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Clearinghouse on Entrepreneurship Education. CELCEE is the Entrepreneurship Education adjunct of the federal Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) system. CELCEE is a non-profit organization that is funded entirely by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. CELCEE was created in January 1996 as a joint project of the University of California, Los Angeles and the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
CELCEE acquires information related to entrepreneurship education from diverse sources, including journal articles, websites, syllabi, conferences, pamphlets, curriculum guides, government publications, videos, books, computer software, and more. These diverse resources pertain to entrepreneurship education and related topics from K-12 to post-graduate studies and from rural America to urban Asia. Rather than scour libraries, government offices, universities, private collections, and other locations for relevant materials, CELCEE allows you to conduct all your research from one easy-to-access online source. The CELCEE staff takes our acquired resources and writes brief summaries of them called abstracts. These abstracts are indexed and organized within a massive online database for all the world to use free of charge. The site meets all national Library of Education standards for web pages.
Entrepreneurship Education is the process of providing individuals with the concepts and skills to recognize opportunities that others have overlooked, and to have the insight, self-esteem and knowledge to act where others have hesitated. It includes instruction in opportunity recognition, marshaling resources in the face of risk, and initiating a business venture. It also includes instruction in business management processes such as business planning, capital development, marketing, and cash flow analysis.
