About CSAC
Like timber, water or minerals, the arts are a natural resource in Tuolumne County. Arts resources provide entertainment, education, aesthetic appreciation and enlightenment for the community. The arts touch people's lives in their homes, schools, businesses and public places; they inspire us, sooth us, provoke us, involve us and connect us. Most of all, they inform us of the creative process at the heart of civilization and our social, economic and political community life.
The Central Sierra Arts Council is the area's arts resource for artists and the community at large, connecting artists and audiences to opportunities for involvement in all aspects of the arts. CSAC fosters the creative process through the visual, literary and performing arts. As "arts access advocates", we help people make their creative dreams come true. We are the "go to" place, and the place to go for the arts, artists and art activity in the Sierra Foothills.
