Starkey Systems merged with Beam Built In Vacuums Ltd in 1999. Beam Built in Vacuums Ltd was formed in 1984 by Derek and Mary Starkey and the company imported and installed Beam vacuum systems which were manufactured by Electrolux in the USA. Since the development of the Signature Series range of vacuum units, the company has progressed to distributing that range and no longer promote the Beam range. At the same time, Starkey Systems moved into the ventilation market.
