ChangeChevron.org is lobbying CEO of 4th largest oil company to change its ways

About ChangeChevron.org

ChangeChevron.org is an environmental action website devoted to informing consumers about Chevron's deplorable environmental record. The organization that developed the website, the Rainforest Action Network, is actively lobbying the new CEO of Chevron, John Watson, to stop violating human rights and reduce environmental impact.

Chevron acquired Texaco in 2001 and inherited the fallout from an environmental disaster in the Ecuadorian rainforest. The website contends that Texaco deliberately dumped 18.5 billion gallons of toxic waste in rainforest waterways, contaminating water and food sources in a region that once supported 30,000 people.

At ChangeChevron.org, you can sign a petition to John Watson, CEO of Chevron. You can also volunteer to gather signatures for the petition, or host or attend a screening of the movie "Crude," a documentary about the Ecuadorian disaster.

ChangeChevron.org has a news feed with stories related to the damage in Ecuador as well as current damage being done by Chevron's operations, court cases and other related items.
