About Us
Welcome to Charlie & Grace! Believe it or not, the origins of our business date back to the third grade, where we met and formed a friendship that has lasted through childhood and now into motherhood twice over for each of us. Our product lines focus on babies and women, so it's no coincidence that we named the company after our firstborn children.
When we started Charlie & Grace back in May 2003, we set our sights high and let our imaginations run wild (and they’re still running!)—which led us to the products we offer today. Our baby line of blankets and burp cloths comes directly from our “mom” experiences, and we hope you’ll find them fun, tasteful and—most important—functional. Our line of women’s belts extends the concept of fun, tasteful, and functional to an adult audience. These imaginative accessories also stand out in their sophistication and hand-crafted quality.
Our first craft show appearance was Mothers' Day weekend in 2003, and we had no idea what to expect. But we felt confident in our designs and in the quality of the products. Our baskets were full of blankets and burp cloth sets, and our homemade belt rack proudly displayed our first line of belts. The success that day, the people we met, and the compliments we received gave us confidence that we were on the right track. Six months and numerous craft and trunk shows later (as well as retail relationships with specialty stores in two towns in Fairfield County), Charlie & Grace products have carved out a niche and we are more enthusiastic than ever about bringing our lines to people across the country.
